Name: Whalesong
Age: 48 moons ((4 years old))
Gender: She-cat
Clan: Traveler
Rank: Traveler
Appearance:
Have you ever seen something, so beautiful, that it takes your breath away? To have suffered a very cold and bitter night, to only be embraced by the ebbing and near avoidable arms of the sun? Well, to gaze upon Whalesong is to gaze upon beauty. She is a big she-cat with a slim, muscular figure. Just below her shoulder blades, like armor, lay gray fur. Ranging from black to light gray, and there are also stripes striding across few places of the same range of colors. Whalesong’s under belly is white as fog, in addition to her paws also which, are very well crafted for swimming and running. True, and bold signs of a traveler. And as well as her paws and pads, her ears lay a fine; might I say, divine example of one who has scaled many countrysides. Her ears fit her perfectly and can hear almost anything and everything that is going on around her. But however, the downfall to this is being a light sleeper. Ah a curious young tom, about 12 moons, tried to come up behind Whalesong while she was sleeping. Of course, we all know how this ends. But the thing that surely would not be expected from a cat of her status, would be her eyes. Good StarClan, they are marvelous! Absolutely memorizing. They are a deep, icy blue that lightens in a capsizing crescendo of blue towards the pupil. As I said before, marvelous and mesmerizing. But, they might not have been that way if it weren’t for her face patches of pelt placed perfectly in line with everything else… But yet it sticks out as if it were a mask, or a bucket of orange and brown dye had been thrown up at her. Whalesong’s right eye has a big arrow shaped patch of orange pelt, pointing upwards toward her left ear. There, you will find a flicker of orange that bleeds into a brown patch of fur. This fur only fits half of her eye, while the other half is consumed by her white pelt. It then runs down to her very light gray nose, and whiskers. Whalesong’s whiskers are silky, thick, and extremely long; about the width of her face. It almost looks like claws, reaching out for her ears. The opposite end of Whalesong, is her tail. This blue-eyed she-cat’s tail isn’t the longest tail of all cats. It is sort of short. If she lies down on her stomach, and then she wraps it around her body, it nearly passes the length of her hind leg.
Personality:
There are many broken hearts among the lands of which cats roam, and, of which many animals roam. Like the waves, they ebb away at every soul, of every living creature. Two-leg, dog, cat. Every animal has a sad, long, story. But, on the wind, there is a voice. There has always been a voice. It is of hope, and friendship, it is of love. It is Whalesong’s voice. Whalesong, is a very wise she-cat; Very strong willed, and doesn’t let anything dampen her spirits. Thought, she never shows much joy. Whalesong is a calm, and cool tempered she-cat. She is opted to the ready, so willing to help others. Ever since she was a kit, she was calm and modest. She would never brag or boast, for anything. Not even the slightest flick of her tail, or a twitch of her ear. Catching her first prey, came in reaction of nothing but a warm, and glowing smile. Whalesong believes, that there is a bit of good in everyone, and she sticks to that thought and belief. Her icy blue eyes are always riveting; Oh so full of life. And, even as she sleeps, her orange and brown face glows with happiness and contemptment. But, there is a side to her that is rarely ever entered. A door in the back of her mind, leading into a whole new world. Seeing death. Since her parents were killed, she was not able to keep as much of a leveled head as usual. Dealing with the sick and dying, rarely accruing for Whalesong though, makes the blue drain from her eyes completely. She came across a very sick she-kit, when she had just ventured away from her two-leg companion. White with dazzling blue eyes, she was cheerful and fun. But she was dying of a lethal infection. Her back leg was split open. She wasn’t in very much pain, but, since there was little to do, Whalesong just cried for her. She knew her only a week, and the strong she-kit’s battle was over. But other than that, she never mocks any one. Doesn’t question one cats decision or, commands any one to do what she says. For that she gently directs them to where they should be heading. If anyone confronts her, with hateful words and a sharp tongue, Whalesong will simply come to a calm and direct approach; in a non-hostile manor. You will not catch this she-cat ever talking about another animal in a hateful fashion. Only kind, and pleasant attributes. Whalesong can easily be befriended, bye the sourest, and the kindest of animals, even two-legs. Thought this is not true, some cats claim that she even befriended a badger. But what is very true, is, she has persuaded a young dog to not terrorize a small family of cats, just north of the two-leg houses. After leaving this family, she said kindly and bluntly, “Good bye my new friend, and, always remember. Not all animals are bad, how big they are, or how many rumors have been sifted to the surface about them.” A warm smile, and a small flick of her tail, and she disappeared into the glowing sunlight.
Past:
As you may have heard, Whalesong is a beautiful, and very pleasant cat to meet. She has touched the hearts of many animals far across the land. Her story starts, very far from the Clans, far across the mountains and fields. Far away from any Clan colonies, there lay the ocean. The water always glistening night and day. This is the place where her story began. Whalesong was born at the beginning of Greenleaf, in a month of which the two-legs call, “July”. But, her name wasn’t always Whalesong, her mother and father names her Lonely Sea. She was an only kit, and oh lord, how beautiful she was. Her mother, was a stunning orange and white tabby, with icy blue eyes. The same stunning blue eyes as her daughter. She had a long and slender figure, and a long slinky tail. Her name was Valley Flower. Whalesong’s Father, was a ginger brown tabby, with darker brown stripes. His eyes were a dark blue. The same color as the moon setting over the ocean. His name, enviably, was Moon. “Lonely Sea” Later known as Whalesong, spent most of her time on the abandoned shore of Emerald Harbor. Though, it wasn’t as alone as she thought it was. There was a shack on the far end of it. No one lived there for many moons, or so her father has told her. But he insists to stay away. When she was five moons old, a beautiful two leg moved in. Well, beautiful for a two-leg of course, but non-the less. She had the looks, and the heart. She loved animals. Or, so Lonely Sea found out a few days later. She was investigating a crab, when a giant German Shepherd appeared behind her. It sniffed her face slowly, and then, she met “Kaya”. They met and they became instant friends, even though Kaya was a 21 year old two-leg. They spent time on the beach, and in Emerald Forest. Whalesong doesn’t quite know how Kaya met her mother and father, but, they did. Before long, a month had past. It was just before dawn. Mist shrouded the forest like a blanket, and Whalesong emerged from the den. She found her mother’s mangled body at the entrance, and two bloody pairs of paw prints. Her mother was drenched in the scent of fox. Her father must have tried to lead the fox away. Tried. Kaya’s dog came barking on a long black rope, her being dragged behind. The dog, Belle, came and licked her face, and Kaya took her in. With the new home, came her new name. Though, it wasn’t straight away. One morning, while walking along the beach, faithful Belle ran ahead. Her bark reflected off of the black sand, and along we came. There in front of the three beings, lay a whale calf. Whalesong came right up to it curiously, and meowed in such a way, where the animal answered back. And she met many other animals after that. Wolves, foxes, bears, horses, and one time, she nearly escaped an encounter with a mountain lion. Escaping, un-scaved. But, she would have to leave before this greater destiny… When she was two years old, she decided that living with her friend Kaya was a half-life. It took much thought. Many moons of thought. She said goodbye to Kaya and Belle. They seemed to understand. Since then, she has met many animals, helping them where help is needed. And Whalesong still forever roams.
Rp Example:
The sun inched across the darkening in a side-ways motion, as the clouds gathered at its resting point. Sun light reflected off of the white, evaporated water. Like a laser through a diamond, the light escaped the grasp of the clouds, making color explode in a rhythmic, harmonies fashion. And, with a moment of light, a flash and the moment was gone. And the moon slowly rose, making the world around it shine blue. The forest glowed in the full moons light, getting hesitantly brighter with every ascending step into the sky. A white and gray pelt could be seen in the moonlight, shining down on it as if it were a spotlight. The animal’s icy blue eyes bled into the dim night. Whalesong sat and pruned her claws. No hunting this day, she had only walked. It was a great distance from her home, clear across the mountains. She faced many threats there. Falcons were at her every turn, the sharp rocks and pointers in the ground to be weary of… and the weak ledges. They would crumble under paw before getting a chance to recover. Instead, a cruel death. And the thing she encounters that frightened her most, was her encounter with a cougar. It was scary, seeing the blazing light ginger pelt, and many cats heavier than she, one bite and be done with. Whalesong rested her paw on the giant stone she was on, and let a quiver, shimmy down her pelt. It was going to be a long night ahead of her.
