A gray pelt flashed among the undergrowth along the ThunderClan border. Rockclaw looked behind him to see the heads of apprenitces. None of them were his, but Swiftstar had told him that he was to lead the patrol of future warriors. This was going to be one of the last patrols that Rockclaw would ever lead. The old tom was at the age of retireing, and he well deserved it to.
Rushpaw bounded after Rockclaw, his black and white tail flowing behind him. Hurry up, he meowed to his siblings and freinds.

Reedpaw bound up passed Rushpaw, "Dont be so impatient, we are coming." she meowed, "we will be warriors soon, and that took a long time, can you wait for a patrol?"

Rushpaw glared at his sister, mockingly. Turning around, he ran up to a tree, and scented the air. Mouse. he thought, dropping into a hunter's crouch. Sliding his paws carfully toward the little creature, he waited till the mouse was a whisker from his paws, then the tom brought his black paw down on the mouse's tail, giving him a chance to swiftly bite its neck. Hearing the crunching of the bones beneth his powerful jaws, Rushpaw turned to face the patrol, his catch dangling in his jaws.
Rockclaw watched as he saw the apprentice catch the mouse. The elderly warrior nodded with approval, clearly proud of the apprentice. Bury it so we can come back for it later. he meowed, flicking his tail to continue.

Rainpaw padded softly on her paws. Gracful and silent. Her green eyes watched as Rushpaw caught the mouse. She rolled her eyes slightly. It was like him to show off. Her gray pelt swished as she walked, fluffy tail high in the air. She smiled. She loved being out, and with so many other cats she got along with, it was jsut even better to be out on the sunny day. She twisted her head around to see Mudpelt taking the very back of the patrol, then looked forward to Rockclaw. She purred, she, her siblings, and her friends would all be warriors! This is what she had trianed for with Rowanfire, it had seemed like forever, but now she felt she had only bit an apprentice for a few moons.
Mudpelt dark gray, almost black pelt clung to his form. Brown patches splattered all over it, looking like mud. His dark green eyes watched the apprentices as he listened. Listened very carfully to their surrounding areas. The tom-cat was already covered in scars and now fresh, pink flesh colored ones were over his form. Getting them from the recent battle with RougeClan. He had a smirk on his face, ThunderClan was going to have many new warriors, and more apprentices. THey were growing. It faded away as fast as it came though. He wished something would be done about this RougeClan, his mind drifted to his daughter, and son, and his unborn kits with Cloverheart. He shook his head, he needed to be alert on the patrol.
