A ash gray pelt swished among the grasses on the WindClan moor. Cinderfall was waiting...waiting for the right moment to launch an attack on the rabbit that she had been stalking for some time now. Her sharp sapphire blue eyes watched the rabbit closely, her paws carfully stepping to avoid any sudden noise. When she was about two fox-lengths away, the warrior leaped, landing close enough to the rabbit that she could kill it with her thorn sharp claws before it could make its getaway.

Stonehawk's gray silver pelt was blowing in the soft wind. He kept low, his bushy tail low to the ground. He raised his head as he watched Cinderfall. He smiled, she was extremly good at hunting. He liked being out with her. It had been the first time the two had been alone together. Stonehawk went back to scenting as he saw her leap. He kept his nose close to the ground, suddenly a mouse dashed past him. He shot a paw out, sinking his claws into the mouse. He laughed lightly, it was easy with mice. He spotted another rabbit and started to move light on his paws, watching to make sure no rocks or sticks were under him.

Cinderfall's head shot up above the tall grasses, rasing a slightly blood stained paw to lick it clean. She saw the faint line of the moon, and it was rather full. Should be about time for a Gathering. she thought, glancing at Stonehawk who was stalking a rabbit. She sniffed the air for another sign of prey. She scented vole, rabbit, and something else. Scanning the sky, she saw two great brown wings. An egale had spotted the same rabbit that Stonehawk was after. Stonehawk, she meowed, not taking her eyes off the decending egale.

Stonehawk was consumed in the hunt. He hardly even heard the she-cat. He was only a single leap away from the rabbit he was hunting now. Completly unaware of the hawk in the air. His eyes were in slits as he watched the rabbit and flickered an ear. "What Cinderfall?" He spoke in atiny whisper. The rabbit's head shot up. He hissed and leapt forward, clawing into it's flank and sinking his teeth into it as it tried to thrash around and run away.

Cinderfall thrashed her tail. How could she tell the tom about the hawk above his head that circled closer and closer to the tom. She lept, hoping that the hawk didn't slaughter her with it's talons. The gray she-cat felt her claws sink into a soft flesh, and meet air. Then her world turned upside down. The she-cat saw the hawk roll in mid-air onto it's back, dropping the she-cat. Stonehawk! she wailed, shutting her eyes tight.
