Name:: Nightfall
Age:: 15 moons
Gender:: She-cat
Clan:: RiverClan
Rank:: Young Warrior
Appearance:: Nightfall is a jet black she-cat with a single white paw - her front right. The tip of her left ear is also white, but her right ear has a v-chip in it from a battle that took place between Nightfall and her best friend. There is a white marking on Nightfall's left flank that slowly fades into black, giving it the appearance of darkness overpowering or covering light. Her eyes are a deep amber, and seem to be staring straight into your heart. Her claws are a black that matches Nightfall's pelt, and her nose is a gray that hardly stands out against Nightfall's pelt. Nightfall's medium length fur looks beautiful in all its glory if she stands in a breeze or even simply walks, but Nightfall has no knowledge of it. The inside of her ears are a gray that matches her nose, and her fangs are dark ebony, hidden in the depths of her jaw. Muscles ripple elegantly under Nightfall's full pelt, and her legs are long and made for running, making her almost as fast as a WindClan cat, but not quite. Her whiskers are long and gorgeous, and they sense things very well.
Personality:: Nightfall is a somewhat quiet but sensible cat, and despite her habitual thoughtfulness, she speaks her mind if she feels it to be true. She tries to see both sides of the stories and do her fullest, as well as trying to be on the good side of every cat. She, like many cats, wants to be leader, but she knows that she will only become leader if she is chosen to be deputy, and does not try to do more than usual to gain the expectancy to become deputy of her Clan. As an apprentice, Nightfall tried her hardest to do her very best in order to become a warrior so she could serve her Clan best, and though her wish is coming true, Nightfall still feels that the warriors and her leader expect her to do much better. She strives to make herself perfect, thinking she is much worse then she actually is. Nightfall envies the freedom of WindClan cats, but could be considered one of the most loyal cats of RiverClan. Yet no cat is perfect, and Nightfall is certainly no exception - she is incredibly kind and caring to all cats, making her gullible and sometimes making her hesitate in battle; a big mistake. There is only one cat Nightfall truly hated - Cloudpaw, her best friend, and yet Nightfall feels bad for Cloudpaw, and both of their mistakes. Yet that doesn't stop her from hissing every time Cloudpaw's name is mentioned, as well as flexing her claws.
History::
Kit: As a kit, Nightkit had two siblings - Thornkit and Redkit. Her parents were Whitethroat of RiverClan, and Whisper, a rogue. Nightkit does not remember Thornkit or Redkit - Redkit disappeared with Whisper near their birth, and Nightkit suspects that Whisper stole Redkit away from RiverClan. At about three moons of age, Thornkit also disappeared, leaving Nightkit rather unhappy, especially when Darkclaw left to become a loner. Nightkit wasn't so perfect as a kit, and she was also angry at her whole family for just abandoning her, so she wasn't so friendly and didn't actually meet any other kits until apprenticeship. Nevertheless, she remained with RiverClan.
Apprentice: It was as an apprentice that Nightpaw officially met Cloudpaw. Cloudpaw was two moons older than her, and Nightpaw had only seen him once or twice around the camp. The two cats hit off immediately, becoming great friends. Cloudpaw was funny and strong, and secretly Nightpaw had a small crush on the tom. However, Cloudpaw had a small problem with judgement, and liked to make fun of other cats, a small fact that only slightly irked Nightpaw. Nightpaw was still, at this time, a rather hyper and fierce kit - she could not forget how her whole family had just left her. But still, the black she-cat and the light gray tom were best friends, and the rest of the Clan knew it. Eventually, Nightpaw asked the leader if the two could go hunting without any mentors or warriors. "A test of our skills," she called it, and the leader consented in calmly. It was on this hunting trip, however, that Cloudpaw decided to tease his friend a little - or in his case, a little too much. The white tom teased Nightpaw about the touchiest subject possible - her family. The black cat could have stood it any other time, but she cracked this time. There was a huge fight between the apprentices, and at the end, Cloudpaw ended up dead. It was at this time that Nightpaw turned into a peace lover, horrified at the fact that she had killed her best friend. Remembering the stories, she removed her fur from his claws, and brought him back to camp. Because they were such great friends and Nightpaw was feeling so horrible, nobody pressed her how he died. Eventually, it was forgotten. Nightpaw was made into a warrior without Cloudpaw.
Warrior: Nightfall was only recently made into a warrior, and though nobody knows she killed her fellow apprentice, she still believes that she must prove herself a thousand times to be accepted. However, because of the death of the tom, she hesitates in battle, and sometimes even in killing prey, which could turn out to be a deadly cost for her Clan.
RP Example:: Nightfall shivered in the cold of leaf-bare. She found a small, skinny mouse in the snow, and thanking StarClan for her good luck, began to stalk it. The mouse was starving as well as the Clans, and because it was so desperate for food, it did not notice the black cat sneaking up on it, even against the white snow.
Nightfall pounced, but then suddenly recalled Cloudpaw, and flinched back. The mouse darted away and Nightfall was instantly after it, but both creatures were slow and tired. It was only a small bit of luck and chance that allowed Nightfall to bit the mouse's neck, and she cursed her past. Even thinking about what Cloudpaw had said made her knead her paws... but would it starve her Clan, too?
Nightfall hoped not. That would be the last thing she'd ever want - a ghost of StarClan haunting her forever. Ugh. If only... if only she had someone to talk to...
